In recent years, the facility has implemented a series of changes that significantly reduce its environmental footprint. All heating systems now run on biofuels, and 100% of the site’s electricity is sourced from hydropower. These measures alone result in an annual savings of approximately 109 tonnes of CO₂ equivalents.

The commitment to cleaner operations extends beyond energy supply. All forklifts and internal transport vehicles at the site have been replaced with electric models, eliminating tailpipe emissions from day-to-day logistics within the facility. In parallel, the company is actively converting its fleet of company cars to electric vehicles, supporting a broader shift to sustainable mobility.

“This transition reflects our ambition to lead by example in reducing emissions across our operations,” said a representative from Saferoad Sweden. “By relying on renewable energy and electrifying our internal transport, we’re making measurable progress toward long-term environmental goals.” says INSERT NAME
