Saferoad Brings Color and Pride to Oslo

Published on 06.07.2026

Every June, the streets of Oslo transform into a vibrant celebration of diversity, inclusion, and equal rights during Oslo Pride - Norway's largest festival for LGBTQ+ people.

For the third year in a row, the City of Oslo has chosen Saferoad to paint the colorful Pride road markings. This project is a great tradition for us.

In 2025, our teams painted around 300 square meters of colorful markings. This year, Saferoad’s crew did it again, helping the city show its welcoming and inclusive spirit.

For Saferoad, this annual initiative is far more than just a standard road marking contract. It’s a project driven by pride, precision, and shared values.

Johan Hult, Project Manager for Saferoad Services, explains what makes this project so special:

"It is a highly visible project that means a lot to many people. The colourful markings are an important part of the city during Pride, so delivering the highest quality is essential. For our road marking crew, it is a real honour to be part of such a meaningful project."

Working in the middle of a busy city requires great teamwork. To make sure everything runs smoothly, we need good leadership and a close relationship with the client.

"I always make it a priority to be on site during the work to support the team and ensure everything goes according to plan, We also work closely with the project managers and representatives from the City of Oslo throughout the project, and that close cooperation is one of the key reasons for its success."  explains Johan Hult.

Being chosen year after year by the City of Oslo is a testament to the reliability, technical expertise, and dedication of the Saferoad team. This project shows that Saferoad does more than just build safer roads – we also help build open and welcoming communities.

Saferoad is proud to contribute to this important initiative, helping the City of Oslo visibly demonstrate its commitment to inclusion.
