Meet LITE – a lighter standard for poles

Published on 27.04.2026

Our team in Sweden is taking the next step toward a more sustainable range of standard poles. Legacy standard bollards will be phased out by alternatives with lower emission footprints in 2026.

LITE is our new standard parking bollard – developed to use resources more efficiently without compromising functionality or quality. Thanks to an optimized design, each bollard contains 13.1 percent less steel compared with the previous standard version. The result is a lighter, more flexible, and more resource-efficient solution.

Optimized for real needs

Many of today’s parking bollards are oversized in relation to their actual area of use. With LITE, we have instead focused on optimizing performance based on real needs. By reducing material use while maintaining the right functionality, we create a bollard with lower environmental impact and more sustainable resource use. Capacity is only adjusted marginally, while the gains in material savings and carbon footprint are significant.

Lower weight, lower climate impact, lower cost

The reduced amount of steel not only makes the bollard more resource-efficient – it also makes it easier to handle. Lower weight simplifies transportation, installation, and logistics, while also reducing emissions from shipping.

In addition, the reduced material use means that we can offer LITE at a lower price compared with our previous standard parking bollards. LITE is therefore not only a lighter choice for the environment, but also a more cost-effective option.

Small percentages make a big difference

A material reduction of 13.1 percent per bollard may seem small at first glance. But when viewed across our annual production, the impact becomes clear.

With our new standard parking bollard, LITE, we achieve:

  • 74,370 kg less steel used in our manufacturing each year

  • Approximately 177,744 kg lower CO₂ emissions per year

What does that mean in practice?

To put the climate savings delivered by LITE into perspective:

  • 177,744 kg of CO₂ corresponds to the emissions from a passenger car driving approximately 1,480,000 km

  • That is also equivalent to around 37 trips around the Earth at the equator

An easier choice for a more sustainable future

With LITE, we show that small design changes can have a big impact – both for the environment and for our customers. By rethinking the standard, we are taking a concrete step toward more sustainable products and smarter resource use.

LITE is quite simply a lighter standard.
