UN Sustainable Development Goals
The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are an ambitious set of 17 goals, including 169 underlying targets, designed to alleviate many pervasive social, economic, and environmental problems by the year 2030, especially those that may form an existential threat to this planet, and our ability to live peacefully upon it. Saferoad has chosen to focus on:
SDG 3 - Good health and well-being
The UN goal aims to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages, specifically pointing at road safety in sub target 3.6. Saferoad delivers products and services that contributes to safer roads. By delivering high-quality safety products tailored to increase safety and by sharing knowledge about how to increase road safety with our surroundings, we aim to lift the level of safety all across the industry.
SDG 8 - Decent work and economic growth
The UN goal aims to promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all. Saferoad believes in diversity and continuously work to increase this in our recruitment processes as well as ensuring an including and open work culture and opportunities for all. Saferoad takes its employees’ interests seriously and respects the UN Declaration of Human Rights and International Labour Organization (ILO) standards.
SDG 9 - Industry, innovation and infrastructure
The UN goal aims to build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation. Saferoad works to improve infrastructure safety, resilience and prepare it for the future needs for mobility. Through high-quality products and a strong R&D focus, we aim to be the front runner within our industry.
SDG 12 - Responsible consumption and production
The UN goal aims to ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns. Saferoad takes measures to ensure that our consumption and production are sustainable at all times. In 2020, we have ISO14001 certified most of our production facilities, implemented reporting of greenhouse gas emissions from production and screened our suppliers.
