Strengthening Saferoad's sustainability commitment with recruitment of Head of ESG

Saferoad Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Åsne Burgess Øyehaug to spearhead its sustainability agenda, effective August 1.

The recruitment underscores the Group's commitment to aligning with global best practices and being a driving force in the industry after making several major sustainability commitments and progress the recent years.

“With the appointment of Åsne as the new Head of ESG in Saferoad, we reaffirm our commitment to advancing our sustainability ambitions. I am certain that her knowledge and drive will have a positive impact on our performance and industry leadership”, says Oscar Sandell, CHRO in Saferoad, responsible for the Group’s ESG and Communication areas in the Group Management Team.

“Åsne brings with her a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of sustainability, having recently held positions as a sustainability strategist at a venture capital firm, and as social responsibility manager at group-level in Hydro. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated her skills in working across industrial value chains, with a particular emphasis on social responsibility and human rights. Her integrative approach to social and environmental sustainability is expected to bring significant benefits to our company. Possessing a unique dual experience in both industry and finance, she has worked across all levels of corporate sustainability, including strategy, investments, governance, due diligence, process implementation, and reporting. Her extensive knowledge of sustainability regulations, standards, frameworks, and reporting will be invaluable to our company and our investors”, he concludes.
